This is the second of a series of images I'm creating for NY State Parks. One of the great things about this ongoing project is getting to know the parks better. Schodack Island is just down the road from my house, so it was fun to a lot of exploring and figure out what to showcase in the image.
Back in 2012, my buddy and I started a design and print shop in Troy called Design it Together. Since we had no business plan or business experience.... or business savvy in any way, we started out with a small space to show our work and just sat there patiently waiting for people to hire us. In the meantime, we developed a lot of images, including TroyBot, a semi-autonomous giant robot that transforms from Troy's Green Island Bridge to protect the city. The TroyBot caught on and we kept printing them as an open addition. Since then, Design it Together evolved to become Troy Cloth & Paper, and TroyBot itself has spun off to have a life of its own. TroyBot is getting it's own dedicated website and a comic is now in the works. More on that soon!
